A Colorado Chamber of Commerce quarterly jobs report shows the number of job vacancies in Montrose has increased 12% while vacancies statewide are down.
The report was put together by Colorado Chamber of Commerce and Aspen Technology Labs (ATL) to help the public understand the state’s economy.
The Colorado Chamber of Commerce in a press release said that as of April 1, 2023, there were approximately 117,000 job vacancies statewide in Colorado, a 2% reduction from the previous quarter. Of those 117,000, 594 were in Montrose, an increase of 63 vacancies since the Chamber’s last report.
The release went on to state that the median annual salary for Colorado full-time job postings was $59,998, a 2.3% increase from the previous quarter. The median salary for Montrose was $49,920.
Nationwide, Colorado ranks 11th for highest median salary and 9th for highest number of job vacancies per capita.
