The Olathe Sweet Corn Festival will not take place in Olathe this August, according to the festival’s Facebook page.
An area-favorite event, the Olathe Sweet Corn Fest will be held at Cerise Park in Montrose instead of Olathe Town Park.
According to the page, holding the event in Olathe was too expensive an option, and moving it to Montrose is a decision is more affordable.
The event had previously been held in Olathe every year. In 2019, the event moved to the Montrose County Fairgrounds, but the event moved back to Olathe.
This is the 34th year for the event.

We are moving the festival to Cerise park in Montrose. The Olathe Sweet Corn Festival – Official will be held on Aug 24, 2024. Get ready to experience the sweetness of summer at our new location. Stay tuned for updates and mark your calendars for an unforgettable corn-filled celebration!”
