Local enterprise Geyser Systems has seen substantial growth in demand in the last year, as they continue to build on their water-saving camp showers.
Company owner Jonathan Ballesteros talked about new ideas and developments at the company, including a new deal the company has made with large retailer Bass Pro Shops, which also runs the Cabela’s line of stores.
On the new development, Ballesteros said, “We’ve always been told that that this product would do great in Bass Pro and Cabela’s, we just haven’t really been focused on it until this point because we were just trying to keep up with REI’s demand.”
Geyser’s products have launched already in 10 stores, and Ballesteros talked about what is possible in the future as well.
“If things go well, then we’ll continue growing in their other 200 stores. Obviously that means tremendous growth potential for the company.”
The nearest store to Montrose in the chain is the Cabela’s in Grand Junction. Although the store in Grand Junction does not yet carry Geyser System products, customers can go online to the chain’s website to order one at any time.
Other exciting developments are in store for the company though, as continuous growth fuels continuous innovation.
“I’m really proud of my team, really proud of what I’ve achieved, but you know we’ve got a lot of irons in the fire right now, and Bass Pro is just one of them right now actually”, Ballesteros said.
Ballesteros also mentioned that because of the growth, he is open to investment in the company, and encouraged anyone interested to reach out to him. The company has obtained a new patent to move into more parts of the RV market, as well as releasing the company’s Eco-shower for that same market, which has seen great success.
Jonathan talked about why moving into the RV market with the product is proving to be a big deal. He said that it “Is solving the biggest problem for RVers, which is boondocking. When people are trying to boondock or be off the grid, the problems that they normally encounter are number one, they run out of water, or number two, their gray water takes over. The Geyser Eco-shower is helping people boondock ten times longer.”
