Montrose Regional Health is named among the 350 cleanest hospitals in the United States, according to a recent report by Becker’s Hospital Review. Montrose Regional Health is one of only ten hospitals in the state of Colorado to achieve a 5-star cleanliness rating from Becker’s Hospital Review.
“Our Environmental Services team is second to none,” said Leann Tobin, Chief Ancillary Services and Marketing Officer. “They work very hard and know how important their role is in stopping the spread of infection. Each team member takes pride in what they do and truly believe in our vision of Caring for You Like Family. I’m so proud to work by their side and share their high-quality expectations.”
The cleanest hospitals are chosen based on the results of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) patient survey called HCAHPS – a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experience during a recent inpatient hospital stay. The 2024 list of cleanest hospitals is based on the feedback from the HCAHPS surveys, which were submitted between October 2022 and September 2023.
Montrose Regional Health has received multiple other accolades this year, including being named among the best hospitals for Heart Attack & Stroke by U.S. News & World Report, and the Black Canyon Surgical Center being recognized among America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for Ophthalmology. Montrose Regional Health partners with independent providers in the community to excel and provide excellent care, including a partnership with Black Canyon Surgical Center. Other recognition in recent history includes being named among the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in 2023 and receiving an A Grade for Social Responsibility from the Lown Institute in 2023.
