The Bridges Golf & Country Club, has officially changed hands. The property, previously owned by an Arkansas-based entity, was purchased over the weekend by two LLCs owned by Montrose resident Ty Jennings.
According to public records, the clubhouse and restaurant, Remington’s at the Bridges, sold for $3.2 million. The remaining real estate, including the golf course and associated facilities, was purchased for $1.8 million, bringing transaction to $5 million.
Members were called to a meeting recently and were informed of the sale and renovations to the clubhouse. The clubhouse will remain closed for the duration of the renovations. On Wednesday, contractors could be seen working on the interior.
Members said they were told Jennings would place more focus on developing the real estate to make way for more homes. Jennings declined to comment or provide more information on the sale until next week.
The Bridges Golf & Country Club has long been a staple of the Montrose community, offering golfing, upscale dining and event hosting.
The golf course, a Nicklaus Design, has attracted members and visitors with its scenic views, challenging layout, and high-quality amenities.
As of recent listings, there are several homes and lots available for sale within The Bridges community, with prices ranging from approximately $135,000 to $850,000, depending on the property type and specifications.
