Montrose Regional Health has once again been recognized among the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the nation by the Chartis Center for Rural Health, marking the ninth time the hospital has earned the distinction.
The annual recognition, based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX®, highlights hospitals that demonstrate strong financial and operational performance while maintaining high-quality patient care.
“Being recognized as a Top 100 Rural & Community Hospital is a great honor,” said Jeff Mengenhausen, CEO of Montrose Regional Health. “This recognition reflects the unwavering dedication of our caregivers, whose commitment to our values and ‘Caring for you like family’ ensures that our communities continue to receive excellent care.”
Now in its 10th year, the Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals program is designed to recognize industry leaders and provide a benchmark for rural hospitals striving to improve their services. Michael Topchik, executive director of the Chartis Center for Rural Health, said the ranking highlights the best-performing rural hospitals across the country.
“The Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals award program elevates the very best performers and helps create a roadmap for those seeking to improve financial and operational performance while continuing to care for the communities they serve,” Topchik said.
The INDEX assessment evaluates hospitals using 36 independent performance metrics across eight key categories, including market share, quality, patient outcomes, financial efficiency, and cost. Montrose Regional Health’s inclusion on the list reflects its strong performance in these areas.
