January’s topic will cover proposed capital projects for the 2026 construction season with City Engineer Scott Murphy.
As city engineer, Scott manages the design, construction, and inspection of the City of Montrose’s large-scale capital projects, as well as plan review and inspection of infrastructure-related elements associated with subdivisions and site developments. Get to know Scott.
During our meetup, attendees will learn what to expect from this year’s capital projects, including:
- West Main Street Rail Crossing and Sidewalk Widening – $150,000
- Rio Grande/East Oak Grove Roundabout and Rio Grande Ext. Phase 1 – $4,000,000
- New Public Works Facility (mainly funded by Certificates of Participation issued in 2025) – $40,977,094
- Moving Montrose Forward Contracted Street Maintenance – $5,000,000
- 6700 Road – Cedar Creek Bridge Replacement Design – $250,000
- North Hillcrest (6600 Road) Sidewalk Extension Construction grant funded – $700,000
- Childcare facility improvements – $250,000
