Sirens: A Quiet Spell unfolds during Women’s History Month as an invitation rather than a declaration. This exhibition centers on figurative paintings of women who exist in a space between myth and resence, stillness and motion, silence and sound. Drawing from the enduring figure of the siren, the work asks us to pause and reconsider what we think we know, perhaps reimagined mythology?
Sirens have long been misunderstood — cast as temptresses, warnings, or dangers. Here, they are reclaimed as complex, reflective, and self-possessed. Through paint, augmented reality, sound, and subtle movement, these figures do not call out to be consumed. Instead, they linger. They observe. They draw viewers into a quieter, more intimate exchange.
The exhibition encourages exploration — both physical and conceptual. It is a space to slow down, to look closely, and to let meaning emerge gradually — like a spell that works not through force, but through attention.
